Alcohol restrictions have dramatic impact

On May 18, 2009 the director of Liquor Licensing imposed restrictions in Halls Creek that prevented the sale of takeaway alcohol above 2.7 per cent.

A report released last week from The Western Australian Drug and Alcohol Office shows that over a five year period there has been a reduction in alcohol related harm; fewer hospital attendances; and fewer assault and domestic violence incidents.
